Medical scientists have been well aware of the healing properties of cannabinoid compounds over cancerous cell for more than 40 years. The effects of cannabis extract on malignant cells come from the real life experience of people who have successfully overcome cancer by using cannabis oil.
One of those people is Sharon Kelly who was diagnosed with Stage IV non-small lung cancer in January 2014.
Sharon’s condition was deemed terminal. With an oral chemotherapeutic drug called Tarceva, she was given 6 to 9 months to live.
However, she discovered that cannabis oil could actually save her life, and in January 2014, she started using this oil along with Tarceva. Luckily, the combination of cannabis oil and Tarceva proved very potent, and by September 3rd, 2014, Sharon was cancer free.
Unfortunately, five months later, medical tests indicated cancer cells had come back in Sharon’s lungs. But, this recurrence was much smaller compared to her original tumors, and she used aggressive cannabis extract therapy and beat cancer once again.
Sharon’s experience has made her one of the most powerful activists in the Australian medicinal cannabis community.
Cannabis cures cancer
Researchers for the US government say that the active ingredients in cannabis, known as cannabinoids, have the power to inhibit the illness by causing cell death and by blocking key blood vessels needed by tumor’s to grow.
According to them, studies in rats and mice showed that cannabinoids may be able to kill cancer cells without harming the normal cells in the body.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI), (one of the federal government sponsored agencies) says that cannabis kills cancer. Animal and laboratory studies have shown that cannabinoids may be able to kill cancer cells while protecting normal cells.
